Show WOMAN IS FINED ON LIQUOR CHARGE Special to The Tribune. KURKKA. Oct. 5. For some Hme past the city marshal and his assistant have been cognizant of the fact that liquor is retrularly being brought into Eureka, and this week they succeeded in arresting three offenders with the goods in their possession. They were Mrs. Mike Lemovlrk, Goorcre Fapik and Sam Yuteta. Thev wore returning, re-turning, after a trip t. Salt l.ake. when Night Policeman Savage boarded the eve- i ning train at the summit and made the i arrest. i Mrs. Lemovick had two suit cases in which there were nine quarts of whisky and twenty-three pint bottles of whisky. The two men. who were with her also had whisky in their possession. Mrs. Lemovick appeared before Judg Kryger and entered a plea of guilty "to the complaint, which charged her with a violation of the prohibition law of the state. She was fined $:aiO and given until un-til next Monday to raise the money. If tho fine is not paid the court will commit com-mit her tojail. The. other defendants in the ca.se entered pleas of not guilty and will be tried in the near future. i |
