Syphers, a well-known vocalist of this city, at the emergency hospital this afternoon, after-noon, the city lost another of its popular popu-lar young men, who has done splendid work as a volunteer nurse during the Influenza situation In the city the past seventy days. While looking after several members of a neighbors family, Mr. Syphers contracted con-tracted the disease. He kept up his work despite the first attack, until he saw his several patients out of danger. J-lis condition con-dition then grew worse and he was rushed to the hospital yesterday, where everything every-thing possible was done for him by doctors doc-tors of the city, who realized the service that Mr. Syphers had rendered during the epidemic. ITe was born in Kansas City, Mo., in 1S88, and had been a resident of Ogden for about twenty-live years. He Is survived sur-vived by the widow, a young son and three brothers.
