Jensen, superintendent superinten-dent of Jordan school district, returned March C from the annual an-nual convention of the American Ameri-can Association of School Superintendents Super-intendents in Atlantic City. Visits Vis-its in schools of New York and Chicago convinced Dr. Jensen that Jordan district is doing a good job in defense training courses. Americanism education, vocational education and health training reports at the convention conven-tion gave Superintendent Jensen Jen-sen a chance to compare Jordan's record with those of schools over ov-er the nation. West Jordan LDS stake officers offic-ers made their official visit to Bingham LDS vard Primary Monday afternoon. Mrs. J. O. Tomorrow evening, March 15, the Democratic Ladies club will meet for seven o'clock supper at the home of Mrs. Anna Wolfe at 31 Main street. Mrs. Clyde Olson was hostess Tuesday evening to members of her sewing club. A luncheon was served late in the evening. Mrs. Al Tassainer entertained her sewing club Tuesday evening eve-ning at her home in the Eck-man Eck-man apartments. Seven members mem-bers were present and a dainty luncheon was served. Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Colyar and daughter, Alberta, spent Saturday Satur-day in Logan visiting Miss Marietta Mar-ietta Colyar. Mr. and Mrs. Francis C. Oswald Os-wald of Afton, Wyo., spent the week-end in Bingham with Mrs-Oswald's Mrs-Oswald's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Chandler. A party at the Alta club Saturday evening complimented com-plimented the visitors. There were 15 euests. Mrs. Orson Downard and children chil-dren of Provo and Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Nerdin and daughter, Daw-na, Daw-na, spent Sunday in Ogden with Mrs. Louis Babcock. A son was born February 27 to Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Rogers at Needles, Cal. The couple formerly for-merly lived in Bingham. Mrs. Emma Baum, who has visited three weeks with her brother-in-law and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Alger Baum of Lead Mine, Is leaving today for her home in Detroit. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie R. Carri-gan Carri-gan of Midvale announce the birth of a daughter March 10 at St. Mark's hospital. Mrs. Car-rigan Car-rigan is the former Miss Elizabeth Eliza-beth McMillan of Midvale. |
