Show MRS. FRED DUNN NAMED TO LEAD WOIWS GROUP Mrs. H. Fred Dunn was elected elect-ed president of the Women's Civic Civ-ic club by acclamation for the year 1941-1942 at a meeting held Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. John Dahlstrom of Cop-perton. Cop-perton. Mrs. Dunn will take office of-fice at the meeting of May 28, when the outgoing president, .. . ",c uuiguiiiK presiaeni, Mrs. Harley N. English, will be honored at the past presidents' program. Others named to office were Mrs. Ross Hocking, first vice president; Mrs. Dale Johnston, second vice president; Mrs. J. Dewey Knudsen, secretary; Miss Althea Christensen, treasurer; Mrs. Paul F. Erz, historian. Mrs. Wilford H. Harris is director di-rector representing the club on the Central district, Utah Federation Fed-eration of Women's clubs, board-As board-As outgoing president Mrs. English Eng-lish became member-at-large. A report was made on the revision re-vision of the constitution by Mrs. Dahlstrom, . who read suggested sug-gested changes. Final reading and voting will be at the March 26 meeting at the home of Mrs. A- J. Boberg. Mrs. Harvey L. Goff of the entertainment en-tertainment committee announced announ-ced that the annual spring card party of the club would be held the evening of Saturday, April 5. Final details will be announced announc-ed at the next meeting. Other reports included those of the treasurer, Mrs. Don Reid, and the library chairman, Mrs. Dunn. Violin solos, "Simple Confession" Confes-sion" and "La Cinquantaine", by John Chipian, with Mrs. George Austin, acompanist, were applauded ap-plauded and several encore numbers num-bers heard. Nicely-prepared refreshments were served by Mrs. Dahlstrom and Mrs. Goff, cohostess. |
