Show OLD COLONY OIL TO HAVE OFFICES HERE Ktiwin M. Silver of Seattle, representing the Old Colony Oil company, arrived in Salt Ike yesterda y fur the purpose of establishing a branch office in this city. The Old Colony controls three tracts in the Wyoming fields, 120 acres In Elk Basin, 160 in Polecat and 160 in Rawhide. Tho company plans to sink Us first well in tiie Elk Basin field and has erected a , derrick and necessary bulldingn on the ground. It was announced yesterday by Mr. Silver that a contract had been let to the Northern Drilling company to sink-the sink-the well. The Northern company, - has been operating in the Elk Basin for some time and is reported to have driven many of the producers in that district for the Midwest and Ohio companies. |
