Show COMMITTEE TO MEET DAILY AT 1 O'CLOCK That it may keep its work up to date, the joint appropriations committee of the house and senate decided vesterday at its meeting to hold daily sessions at 1 p. m. every day both houses are In session, ses-sion, beginning next Monday. The committee decided to recommend for passage senate bill No. 13, by Wootton, Woot-ton, appropriating $8000 for a recompila-tion recompila-tion of the laws of the state to bring thorn up to date. Bennett, Mt. Pleasant, first vic 1 commander, of the Indian War Veterans of Utah, and P. C. Peterson, second vice commander of the organization, who is J from Ephraim. appeared before the com- mittee and urged that the bill b given l favorable report. 1 The house committee on education met yesterday morning and decided to hold dally sessions, beginning Monday, to take up th report of the state commission for recodification of the school laws. This commission recommends that the office of state superintendent of public instruction instruc-tion be abolished and that the office of state commissioner of education be created. I |
