On both wings of the allied front in Macedonia further fur-ther progress against the Bulgars is reported re-ported officially today. The Serbs on the left flank, west of the Vardar, continued con-tinued their advance, according to the Saloniki headquarters statement, and j captured at the point of the bayonet some Bulgarian trenches between Ko-vil Ko-vil and Vetrenik. They also made considerable con-siderable progress northeast of Lake Ostrovo, while northwest of the lake they took a height west of the dominating domi-nating hill 1500. . On the right the Italians were again victorious in violent encounters with the Bulgars, according to the French official account, which is, however, disputed dis-puted by the Sofia war office. An unofficial un-official dispatch late tonight from Rome says the Italians, "after violent fighting, fight-ing, obtained all the objectives desired." de-sired." The same message adds that the Bulgarians are being driven beyond the Doiran-Demir-Hissar railway, having hav-ing suffered heavy lossc?. Bulgars Claim Rout. : An undated Bulgarian official statement state-ment received here today says attempts by the allies to advance at some points were frusl rated by the Bulgarian fire. It describes the second encounter between be-tween Bulgarians and Italians as having hav-ing resulted in a rout for the latter and the capture by the Bulgars of an officer and eighty-seven men. As regards the operations in Bu-mania, Bu-mania, the various censorships are rivaling one another in secrecy. How far the Russian army estimated at 300,000 which came to the Ruman- ians' aid in the Dobrudja, has advanced J is not known. Nor have the Bulgars and Germans massed along the Danube attempted as yet to cross the river. j Statements Conflict. !
