Show SERVICES ARE HELD FOR ORRIN R. GROW Glowing Tributes Paid to Spanish- American War Veteran; Many Floral pieces Contributed. Funeral services for Onin R. Grow, who di"d Sunday after ratine a hearty breakfast, break-fast, were held vesterdav nt. the residence of Captain Wiliiam C. Webb, 1109 Thirteenth Thir-teenth Kast street, tbe homo of his brother-in-law, where he died. The services were impressive and ex-emplilled ex-emplilled to a marked degree the life of Mr. Grow. There were thirty-four floral offerings and the residence was crowded with friends.' Judge George G. Armstrong presided and eulogize! Mr. Grow In appropriate terms. Bishop Alvin A. Beesley also spoke, while the Rev. P. A. Simpkin in a prayer, beautiful in its expression, dwelt on the life of Mr. Grow, which, he stated, it would do well for all to emulate as far as possible. Xellie Druce Pugsjey sang "A Perfect Day" and "Resignation." Interment took place In the Utah volunteers' volun-teers' plot of the Spanish-American War Veterans at the City cemetery, Marvin O. Ashton dedicating the grave. The pallbearers pall-bearers were William A. Alsworth, Elmer El-mer G. Thomas. Serg Campbell, Lee Green Richards, J. E. Early and W. W. Fuller. All the high school cadets attended the last rites In a body, while there were many Spanish-American war veterans' and railroad men present. Albert F. Grow, a brother, arrived as the services were closing, from Nogales, Ariz., where he la a member of the Utah battery. The late Mr. Grow served as second lieutenant with the Utah volunteers in the Philippines. |
