'. .Yl. 1., announced yesterday yes-terday that all employees belonging to the national guard would be paid in full fur the entire period of their service on active duty and that all employees who jiiiurd the guard would be granted the same treatment. As soon as knowledge of tho president's call came to him Loucral Manager Webber, without waiting wait-ing for other business houses to act, marie his announcement. The Tribuno'takcH tho utmost pleasure I in felicitating the Z. U. M. I. on Us patriotic action. Here is tho true spirit of loyalty to the flag expressed in something some-thing more than mere words. We be-lieve be-lieve that this spirit is prevalent throughout thoVountry and in Utah and that tho examplo of tho Z. 0. M. I. will be widely followed. But as the first business house to make such an announcement tho Z. (J. M. I. deserves to havo its name load all the rest in the commendation of Utah's patriotic, people. |
