Show ELKS' BOOSTER OUT. Annual Forerunner of. the Big Sh.ow la Issued to the Public, Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, Dec, 6. Showing no more regard re-gard than the tax collector In the choice of its vlctima, the Elks' Booster, the annual forerunner of the Elks' show, was circulated in Ogden, 6000 copies strong, thi3 morning. As the Booster has a greater sworn circulation than any other newspaper circulated ln the city, its appearance ap-pearance this year was looked forward to by the citizens in general with considerable consid-erable Interest, not to say fear on the part of some. In the matter of "roasts" and "boasts" the Booster was certainly no disappointment disappoint-ment this year. If any person, member of Ogden lodge No. 71P, B. P. O. Elks, or otherwise, who is known to more than 100 people of Ogden did not receive some sort of mention it escaped the forty-centimeter eye of Editor Harold J. Packer and the members of his staff. Of course, th e Boos te r con ta in s a few col u in ns of promising advance notices for "A Chinese Chi-nese Honeymoon," the musk-al nlay to be presented by the Elks In the Orpheum theater next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights. The final dress rehearsal for the big production was held on the Orpheum stage at 10 o'clock this morning. Director Di-rector T. Earl Pardoe had the augmented augment-ed orchestra of ten pieces otj hand to furnish fur-nish the music and the large company went through the entire piece, Including both music and "business." with only an oc-aslonal interruption for suggestion. The company in aaid to be the largest and best trained musical corps ever assembled assem-bled for an Elks' show in Ogden. |
