Show Charges Against Villa. WASHINGTON. Dec. 6. Rafael Zuba-ran Zuba-ran Copmany, Washington representative of General Carranza, tonight issued a statement giving the substance of a telegram tele-gram from General Obregon, in which the latter gives fourteen reasons why he was flhtiiiK Villa. Obregon charges Villa, amonsr other tilings, with perfidy, saying the latter once tried to assassinate Madero, that he killed Benton, and attempted to kill both himself (Obregon) and General Chao. Obregon also declares Villa once tried to bribe him by offering him first command of the army if he would join him as against Carranza. Published reports that the war department depart-ment intended to withdraw some of the American troops from the border were denied de-nied tonight by Secretary Garrison. |
