Show FORTY CHILDREN WANT GOOD FELLOW TO CALL Many Babes Will Be Cared for, Responses Have; Been Large, Who Wants a Giftless Christmas for a Child ? i WANTED today volunteer Good Fellowa to provide fhnstmas presents and take them to fortv three poverty s'tneVen -alt Lale children The re sponse to the call for Good Fellows to be Santa Clans to the 1 ttle children of the poor has been gratlfyingly large Arrangements were made to provide a merrv Chr tmas to every poor report ed to Mr Good Fellow and nearly 100U youngsters have been provided for But yesterday eamo reports of additional cases of poverty cases where the chil drcn not only face a giftless Christ mas bat are in actual need of things that Santa might bring The cases reported yesterday are as touching in their pathos as any of the hundreds that have already been taken care of by the Good Fellows There is tune today to include these forty two luckless eh ldren among the other poor mites the Good Fellows w U rcmembpr w th gifts. Surely there are enough Salt Lake men and women who will come forward to provide a Christmas Christ-mas for thes- unfortunates that they may rejo re and hail the spirit of Peace on earth ?ood will toward Delays won t do now There is only today tomorrow is Chr stmas day To morrow it will be too late Chr stmas will have come a heart wrenching mockery to those who have nothing to give and who will rcce ve noth ng The poor for whom the generosity and open heart ednoss of the Good rellowa is asked are children, and what greater tragedy to childhood is there than a Christmas day with no gifts? All the cases for which Good Fellows Fel-lows are needed today have been investigated. inves-tigated. They forthwith provided a ' ' Christmas dinner" din-ner" yesterday and will take another then tomorrow. To provide simple gifts and food for the poor children is the object of the j Order of Good Fellows. It is not charity; char-ity; Goort Fellows are not asked to gi e money. That is not the idea it is to get gifts and take, them in person to the homes of the little beneficiaries, Garryin- Christmas to those who would otherwise have none it is worth while.
