The exact nature of her illness has not been determined. Dr. James H. Herrick said that her illness is not danerou. Miss Addams had not been fceliu-; well for several days. Whether her condition con-dition will prevent her from accompanying accompany-ing the Ford peace party abroad could not be -stated tonight, ft depends on developments. Last Sunday night Miss Addams ad dressed: a meeting on the subject of peace and the Ford peace ship in par-ticular. par-ticular. She was frequently applauded and after an outburst she remarked smilingly; "I thank you for vour applause for after I sail on the Ford ship I probably never shall be applauded again.'' Alter the meeting she explained to friends that her remark was based on knowledge that the Ford mission was unpopular "in certain quarters." |
