Show E. J. GRIFFITH TO GO TO PORTLAND Associated Press Representative In This City Called to Now Field. E. J. Griffith, for about a year correspondent corre-spondent of the Salt Lake bureau of the Associated Press, will leave hero tomorrow tomor-row for Portland Ore., where he is to take charge of correspondence for the bureau in that city. Ills mother and sister will acompany him, A. G. Mackenzie of tho general publicity pub-licity bureau of this city. Is to bo local correspondent for tho Associated Press here upon departure of Mr. Griffith. Mr. Mackenzie, however, will maintain his interest and activity with the publicity concern, associated with D. S. Glllham. Prior to coming to Salt Lake Mr. Griffith Grif-fith was connected with tho Associated Press at Denver, Colo. Ho is a great believer be-liever In Salt Lake's future, and would have remained here did not the demands of his business necessitate moving. In his work here he has become popular with Salt Lake newspaper nnd business men, and these have no doubt that ho will mpldly make, many friends In his new field of activity. |
