Show NEW TINTIC EFFORT J TO BEJTEBESTI1 Eureka Swansea Extension to Operate Via the Centen-nial-Eureka Mine. Shareholders of the Eureka Swansea Extension company will be well pleased to leant that their property from the Lat of May onward will occupy a very i prominent spot In the mining world of' Tlnflc, for It has been ascertained thai, : beginning May 1. the property Is to be cvplored through the Centennlal-Eurcka mine of the United Status Smelling. Re- j fining & Mlnlnar company. It Is learned that the agreement between the two! companies calls for the extension of the j Cent.ennial-Eure.ka 600-foot level work-i IngS nut into the Eureka Swansea Ex- tenslon; and some results of merit are expected early. The Eureka Swansea Extension property prop-erty is one of the Jesse Knight pronosl- j tlons. and an effort wis made to develop 1 the trroup at depth last year by driviiiK Ion the 2000-foot level ot the Upex into ! the same. Nothing has been learned of I the result of this work, and it is not known if the Knights have abandoned such effort for the time being. It is sufficiently suf-ficiently encouraging to know that the property Is to be sounded at a point where there certainly must be encouraging encour-aging Indications. Success attending this new development develop-ment will unquestlonabiy mean much to other mining companies in that vicinity Judging from the position of the Opex on the map, this work may furnish the long-sought clow to the resources of that heretofore elusive proposition. The work will draw attention again to the western west-ern portion of the Tintic district, a section sec-tion holding some of the greatest mines of the state, but with ample room for other producers now classed as prospects. |
