Show COPPERTON GRADES OPERETTA TONIGHT A musical playlet in three acts When Betsy Ross Made Old lstbemS Presented at 7.30 p.m. tonight at the Copper-ton Copper-ton grade school. The story of the play concerns- the need of the soldiers of the Continental army for one flag, instead of many, to represent the 13 colonies and serve as their inspiration. ;C,.0l0Sr .Rs suggested his niece, Elizabeth Ross, as one who could make the flag. A great colonial co-lonial ball celebrated completion of the stars and stripes. The entire school takes part in the dances and choruses. Cast in leading parts are Jack Knud-sen Knud-sen as George Washington; Marvin Mar-vin Pullan as Colonel Ross- Lowell Lo-well Jensen as Robert Morris' Karl Hofman as Captain Anderson; Ander-son; Shirley Watkins as Betsy Ross; Carol Pearson as Patience; Donna Gay Grant as Rebecca; Kathryn King at Penelope; Jean-ette Jean-ette Groves as Jane. Admission charge is 15 cents-Proceeds cents-Proceeds will go to the school fund for general expenses. Directing Di-recting the play are Principal Mabel Neprud, and teachers Eleanor El-eanor Brown, Dora Coombs, Lillian Lil-lian Jensen, Velma A. Kim. |
