Show HINES SUPPORTERS FORM ORGANIZATION Harry S. Joseph Named Chairman at Meeting Last Night in City and County Building. Supportors of Frank L. Hincs 109 of them mot last night in Judge Georgo Q. Armstrong !s court, room in. the city and county building and effected ef-fected a campaign organization to work for tho nomination of Mr. Hinos for city commissioner. At the meeting Harry S. Joseph -was elected chairman of the Ilinos campaign cam-paign committee to be composed, of 125 members, twenty-iivo from each municipal -ward. A. E. Boveridgo was chosen secretary of tho committee. Tt was decided to open headquarters and establish a volunteer organization in every voting district in. the city. Speeches were jnado at last night's meeting by Tf. S, Joseph, W. R. Hutchinson. Hutch-inson. N. G-. Corser, Prank MattHews and Prank Jordan. The platform issued is-sued by Mr. Uinos was approved by the meeting and emphasis was laid on the portions of it pledging Mr. Hinos to -work for the establishment of free municipal baths at the Hot Springs, for the removal of tho license tax on vehicles, ve-hicles, for the establishment of a municipal mu-nicipal market, for the employment of citizen labor on public work, the payment pay-ment of liberal wages, and for the abatement of tho smoke nuisance. Another meeting of the Hines supportors sup-portors is scheduled for Friday night. Arrangements are being made for tho holding of women's meetings and the organization of women's Hines clubs. The final Hinos rally of the campaign will be held at Forest "Dale on Monday Mon-day night whon Mr. Hines will explain ex-plain his plan for increasing the city's water supply. |
