Show SKULL FRACTURED II AUTOJCCIDEMT Series of Mishaps Result of Heavy "Peach Dayn Traffic Traf-fic to Brig-ham City. Special to The Tribune. OGDBK, Sept. IS. Six persons were seriously Injured, one perhaps fatally, and several others received painful cuts and bruises In three automobile accidents which occurred between Ogdcn and Brig-ham Brig-ham City this afternoon. Thu unusually heavy traffics occasioned by tho celebration celebra-tion of Peach day at Brlgham City is supposed to have been the cause of the accidents. C. C. Glascock, a passenger brakeman on the Southern Paclilc railroad, who lives at the Helene hotel. Twenty-fifth street, Ogden, suffered a fracturo of the skull when he was pitched from a car driven by Oscar Handall of Brlgham City at 5 o'clock this afternoon. Tho accident occurred about two inllos south of town as tho result of an at-tompt at-tompt to dodge another auto. "W. P. Day of tho Jamison-Day liaston Agency company and L,. Jj. Fa'msworth of Salt Lake were each, driving south and to avoid crowding Day into the ditch, Farnsworth turned too far out, colliding with the Randall car which was going In tho opposite direction. Others in the Randall car wero Deputy Sheriff Thomas De "Vino, Robert Burke, former Sheriff Barlow Wilson, all of Ogden The impact im-pact threw Glascock headlong from tho machine and he suffered a fracture of the skull. He was removed to the Brlgham City hospital and had not regained consciousness con-sciousness up to a late hour tonight. The other passengers sustained only bruises and the Farnsworth car was not Injured. Three women were injured, one seriously, seri-ously, at " o'clock- this afternoon when a car driven by 13. H. Jones of Kelton, inomber of the Box Elder county board of education, collided with a wagon two miles north of Wlllard. Those hurt wero Miss Matilda Peterson, supervisor super-visor of the primary grades of Davis and Weber county schools; Miss Jeanctte Patterson of Ogden and Miss Emma Jones of ICelton. Miss Peterson suffered a slight, concussion of the brain, but will recover, D. C. Jensen, president of tho Box Elder county board of education, was also a passenger in the car, but escaped es-caped uninjured. Miss Patterson and Miss Jones were badly cut and bruised. A car driven by Karl Zelmcr. son of Charles J. Zelmcr, vice president of the Lindsay Land fe Livestock company, turned turtle at 1 30 o'clock this afternoon after-noon when tho front wheel collapsed. ITeber Scowcroft, Jr., son of ITeber Scow-croft Scow-croft of this city, received a broken collar col-lar bone and other minor injuries. |
