This contest is the H biggest class fight at tho school each H year, and as usual there It great Inter- 1 IH est displayed In tho outoomc. Of course H i tho freshmen will greatly outnumber the 1 sophomores and will for that reason en- H tcr the contest as top heavy favorites. ! It is not expected, however, that thin fl year's rush will bo any truch easy work , for the lower classmen as it was last 1 year. In the first place, the per cent 1 of sophomores who havo returned to ( , school this fall Is unprecedented In the H school's history. Again, the rules gov-ernlng gov-ernlng tho rush are more favorable than ever to tho second-year fellows. j fl Tho flag, which la prepared by the 1 H sophomores, Is placed at the top of a twenty-fool polo, around which tho ex- ! citomont centers. Tho sophomores are H stationed In a mass around tho foot of IH tho pole, while tho freshmen aro held : In a body at a distance of about fifty H yards. At the sound of the whistle tho H I savage beglnnorn rush upon tho band of H "wise fools" and for fifteen minutes tho H I battlo rages. At tho closo of the fifteen H minutes the class with tho greatest num- H ber of hands on tho flag is declared win- ner by the Judges of tho contest. H |
