The Gold-fiold Gold-fiold Consolidated Mines company's re-' re-' port, figures for which arc givon by Gen- cral Mnnager Albert Burch for the month of August, shows a net recovery several thousand dollars in excess of the preliminary pre-liminary estimate and ts as follows: air. I: New slopes are being gradually 1 started In the 202 territory, between the first and second levels, southwest j of the shaft, and live are now in op- oration, producing a good tonnage of ' moderate grade ore. i Laguna Mine: An extension of the i 241 drift produced 104 tons of $6 ore ' and the drift has probably reached the i northern end of the ore body. Stop- I ing. which has been commenced above 1 the drift, produces a much better grade of ore than was obtained from drirting. Clermonl-Jumbo: No Important developments de-velopments of pay ore have resulted from the month's work In this mine. The 916 crosscut, mentioned in last month's report, was continued across the vein, which whh proven to me 10 feet in width, but no ore of a shipping grade was found at this point. General: In general the operation of the mine and mill ran smoothly throughout tho month, except during the last few days, when a series of electrical storms Interfered with the power service to such an extent as to I seriously curtail the month's output. |
