OCR Text	"WHITE WINGS" DIES AT COUNTY HOSPITAL Josi-ph Nichols, 70 years of age. an old resident of Salt Lake and a member of the "Whlto Wings" of the stroet department, depart-ment, died at the county hospital last night, Mr. Nichols met with an accident on West Temple street, between Third and Fourth South streets, while at work last Saturday. As he was pushing his pan ahead of him across tho pavement, it caught against an obstruction and tho handle struck him In the abdomon. The blow opened an old wound, tho result of an operation some tlmo ago. and the injury proved fatal. He waa removed to tho county hospital, but grew rapldiv worse until 9:25 o'clock last night, wheti death resulted. The body was removed to the under-v taking rooms of S. D. Evans to bo pro-pared pro-pared for burial. Funeral arrangemcntu have not been completed and win be announced an-nounced later.
