Show WOMEN PROPOSE TO HELP MM ALONG Auxiliary to Commercial Club Will Be Formed at Mass Meeting. Wishing to assist, as much as possible in the development of the city. Mrs. F. jar. Mcl-Iufrh and Mrs. James W. Mc-Hcnry Mc-Hcnry of Murraj' arc working euer-geticalb euer-geticalb for the purpose of forming a woman's club to act ns an auxiliary to the Murray Commercial club. Mrs. McHugh has lived for many years at Chvcnsboro, where organizations of this kind are a great help to tho commercial commer-cial bodies, and, in her opinion, an active association at Murray would be the best thing that could .be done in the way of public spirited endeavor among the women. Yesterday afternoon Mrs. MeHugh ana iurs. iwcnenry met with about seventy-five women of Murray and the topic of immediate organization was 'enthusiastically discussed. The advantages advan-tages derived woro enlarged upon, and following the congenial gathering it was the consensus of opinion that work should begin at once. With this ob.iect in view, Mrs. MeHugh Me-Hugh said last night that a mass meeting meet-ing would be called at the Murray city hall within the next few days, when the question will be plnced before the public. Officers are to be chosen and active preparations planned for tho new work. The auxiliary will have quarters quar-ters In the Commercial club house. |
