Show INVESTIGATE FATAL WRECK. Officials Will Inquire Into Cause Leadlig to Engineer's Death, Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, May 4. To determine tho cause of the wreck of a work train at Tecoma. Nev., last night In which Engineer En-gineer Lee Nelson was scalded to death by escaping steam after his engine hud turned turtle, Division Superintendent Thomas F. Rowjand and Assistant Superintendents Super-intendents Thomas Fitzgerald and F. C. Smith left for the scone of the wreck this j morning In a special train. Officials say that tho cause of the wreck will not be determined until after a board of Inquiry makes an examination. Engineer Nelson was backing his engine, en-gine, to which was attached a caboose, when the engine suddenly left the track and turned over on its side. The unfortunate unfor-tunate engineer was pinned beneath his engine and scalded to death by escaping steam. Fireman Andrew Morehart was slightly injured. The body of tho engineer en-gineer was brought to Ogden today. He Is well known in railroad circles, where ho had. lived for some time. He was a member mem-ber of the Ogden lodge B. P. O. Elks. |
