They had the pleasure of witnessing Ihc conferring of the initiatory degree by the Ogdon lodge and they did It well. An olegant repast was served, and both the visitors and the visited regretted that there waa not more lime J,ast Friday night No. 2 conferred the Samaritan degree and will put on the third next week. Modom Woodmen of America. One of the most enthusiastic meetings ever held was that by Croat Salt Lake camp No 10071 last Tuesday evening, when some forty members gathered around tlie camplire. No. 8, Pythian Sisters, Sis-ters, celebrated the twenty-second anniversary an-niversary of the order by entertaining about 1G0 members and friends at a llve-handed llve-handed gaino of GS. Klegant prizes wore given. Substantial and dainty refreshments refresh-ments were served the guests at small tables. Sister. Reagan, w'ilh 5Jo. 19, won the beautiful drawn handkerchief. Tho Salt Lake Council is preparing for a big initiation of candidates Sunday, November No-vember fi, Tho first three degrees of tlto order will be conferred on a largo class. This is the second Initiation of tho year and will bo tho last for somo months. Tho degree- work will start at 2 p. m. and conclude at 7:!!0 p. in. Tho Knights of Pythias hall at 261 South Main street has been engaged for tho occasion. occas-ion. After the ceremonies a banquet will be served, by tho ladles' auxiliary. The regular meeting of tho council on Tuesday Tues-day evening will be devoted to preparation prepara-tion of the arrangements for theso ceremonies. Order of Owls. The Order of Owls will meet Wednesday Wednes-day evening at 67 Fast Second South street. All arrangements for the big bcncllt social for Jack Hume, the popular popu-lar bicyclo rider, have been completed. Two new numbers have been added to the programme. L. D.
