Show Nevada Copper Belt Company Finances the Completion of the Line. " WILL SOON REACH NEVADA DOUGLAS Enterprise Put Through During Industrial Depression That Retarded Progress. On his return Thursday evening from the property In Yerlngton. W. C. Orom. managing director of tho Nevada Douglas Copper company, stated that tho Nevada Copper Belt Railroad company had completed com-pleted its financial arrangements with strong financial Interests, and that tho road would be rushed to completion without with-out the least delay. The Nevada Copper Belt lino was con-coived con-coived by the local and eastern Interests back of the Nevada Douglasi Copper company, com-pany, tho latter organization guaranteeing guarantee-ing tho bond Issue authorized to construct the road from Wabuska lo the Mason Valley smelter slto and lo Mason. Nov.. and on to the Nevada Douglas properties in Smith Vallov. The line to the smelter site is completed, and the line to Mason also Is done and in successful operation, and the road for practically two miles south of Mason is laid. Much of tho grading for the line has been done already Into Smith Valley, and not to exceed seven miles of grading remains re-mains unfinished to tho Nevada Douglas. This unfinished portion follows the foothills foot-hills from the pass, and it will bo the easiest pari of the line to build. A prcat deal of credit is due the Salt Lakers and the Bostonians who have financed and constructed the railroad lino during an industrial depression when tho extension of new enterprises has been loxlrcmclv difficult, If not Impossible In the majority of cases. The Nevada Copper Cop-per Belt, although a little over half completed, com-pleted, owing to tho extensive farming and cattle industries of the Mason and Smith valleys, has proved to be a lino investment, demonstrating that it was one of the badly needed roads in Nevada. The road will transport all the ores xf Yerlngton to the Mason Valley smelling plant when tho latter is ready for operation. |
