With the outdoor out-door track and field championships now a matter of athletic history, followers of tho sport are turning their energies toward to-ward tho two nights' Berles for the indoor in-door championships to bo held1 In Madison Madi-son Square Garden October 31 and November No-vember 1. The rivalry between tho 'New York A. C. Metropolitan champions, and the Irish-American A. C, national champions, cham-pions, will be keen, as both teams will be on home grounds and well able to have every available man In the fray. For the senior events, embracing both nights, there will be eight running events, two hurdles, five Jumps, three weights, two polo vaults and a walk, while the junior series will Include threo runs, two hurdles, four Jumps, a weight and a Tho remaining championships carded by tho A. A. U. for the present season are as follows: s Ten-mile, November 5; junior cross country, November 19, and senior cross country, November 26, all at Celtic park and for 'national titles. |
