Eureka Is to havo a hospital for the care of sick and Injured In-jured miners as soon as sufficient funds can be obtained for Its erection. A delegation from the Miners' union mot last week with mine owners of Tln-tlc. Tln-tlc. who heartily favored tho proposition provided the union could raise funds onough lo support such an Institution. As It Is now, where men aro Injured In the mines or taken sick with pneumonia they have to be sent to Salt Lake for treatment and the long trip and delays havo cost several lives. There Is no doubt that tho institution would be a paying proposition from the start, as there arc now in the district over 1000 miners paying ?1 a mot) I'll hospital fees, which would go a long ways towards paying the necessary expenses of a hospital. The union boys feci confident con-fident that they can raise tho necessary amount of money required within a short time. |
