Walsh, president of the Walsh Aero club, who Is ill in Florida, conveyed the Information Informa-tion Hint he will not be able to be present when Corllandt F. Bishop. Jioad of the Aero Club of America, Is in Washington February 11. but Mr. Walsh urged that every effort possible be made to have the International meeLIng brought to Washington, Wash-ington, or some point near, regardless of expense. With the characteristic energy of the Colorado mine-owner, he urged that every means be employed to have Washington Wash-ington selected, and declared that he stood ready to donate any sum of money to have this done. Tho army department Is anxious to have the meeting held hero, in order that those of the army offlelers in the signal corps, who were being instructed in aeronaut les by the Wright brothers last year, .might gain at close hand a knowledge knowl-edge of the methods used by foreign aviators. The chamber of commerce will tender a reception to Mr. Bishop during his stay here. Dr. Zahn, secretary of the Washington Aero club, said today: "It Is a source of regret that Mr. Walsh Is not here. 11 was he who started the movement to have the meet hrought here and I am sure If he were in the fight there would be no question.
