OCR Text	Show GOVERNMENT WATER GAUGE TO BE TESTED One of the new government seasonal water gauges Is to be placed In the mountains near Fort Douglas Tor experimental exper-imental work. The gaugo consists of a now arrangement invented by a government govern-ment man for the measuring of the precipitation pre-cipitation in a district where there is no habitation and consequently where it is no', possible lo take daily measurements. The gauge will be placed in the district dis-trict at the beginning of the winter and left Inlacl until spring, when the measurements meas-urements of the water fall will be made. The experiment here will be to lest the instrument. If H is success-fill it will be used sill over Ihe mountaineous district dis-trict of the United States.
