These results, It was added wore quite satisfactory to tho railroad Interests, Inter-ests, although no further details were vouchsafed. There Is reason to believe that at .yesterday's .yes-terday's meeting a proposition was made for having as its ultimate end the separation separa-tion of the Union Pacific and Southern Pacific roads along the lines laid down by the government in Its suit. This proposition came from the railroad rail-road interests, and according to Wall street gossip, Is likely to be finally entertained en-tertained by tho government, provided certain other conditions Imposed by tho administration -are incorporated therein. It Is believed another visit of the Union Pacific-Southern Pacific Interests in Washington In the near future may be followed by a definite announcement rcgardliur the status of the dissolution suit. |
