Seen at the headquarters Sunday afternoon, members of tho committee In charge 0f tno affair r'tated that the forthcoming ball Is to be tho greatest function of its kind ever held in this city. Tho purpose of the ball lB to raise money which Is to be added to Life m-e-nien's relief fund. In this connection the committee gavo out the following Information: Infor-mation: "Hampered by the lack or funds. r the association at the present time pays a death claim of J200 In ease of tho death of a uvmber, and a funeral benefit of S100 in case of the death of a member's wife. Speaking of other relief association?, a member of the committee tald that the association In Minneapolis had a fund for permanently disabled firemen, who receive a pension of 340 per month, and in case of a death a pension of jriO a month Ik paid to his widow and Jn per month to all minor children. In case of the death of a member's wife the association asso-ciation also pays a funeral benefit of 5200. The association at Providence. jr.
