Show I Provo News Notes j Special to The Tribune. PKOYO. Jan. 3. Judge Booth disposed of the following business yesterday in tho district court: G. W. Carlson s. Eliza Carlson. Jn this case the evidence was heard homo time ago and the court rendered judgment, judg-ment, today, granting n divorce to Carlson Carl-son on the grounds of desertion. Carlson must pay to Mrs. Carlson one-third or certain promissory noles held by him and one-third of the stock of the creamery cream-ery company. Tho couple was married at. Salt Lak City, October 0. M07. Ihe marriage being brought about through an advertisement in a Scandinavian pa per. Martha C. Lamaster was granted a decree, de-cree, of divorce froth W. W. J.aniaster on the grounds of d"serlion and failure to provide. Tho parlies were." married at Leavenworth. Kansas. November 7. lOO.'J. and Lamaster Is. alleced to have deserted bin wife in July, 1005. There are no children. In the ease of tho slate of Ctah vs. Robert Comer. the defendant was charged with "criminal neglect of child under sixteen years of age." and through his attorney made a. motion to quash the. information on the grounds that the original complaint in the, lower court was srvoru to by the. defendant's wif". The motion was granted and Comer was discharged. Since the action was commenced against Comer, bis wife Camel la Comer, baa been given a decree of divorce. In the case of t.he Tin tie Standard Mining company against Oeorge Sclniell-man Sclniell-man H al. which was heard some time ago, the court in rendering a decision today, finds that the defendant, Sohnell-man. Sohnell-man. and his successors, arc not entitled enti-tled to recover any money except, the amount paid for the taxe for the benefit bene-fit of the plaintiff. The plaintiff Is given judgment, quieting title lo the mining ground in controversy. The trial of the easo of the state against Frank Hamilton, charged with forgery, has been set for January l.'J. |
