Iho Milwaukee, line Is also closed indefinitely and business practlcallv abandoned, tho lines from Pugot Sound south to Portland aro open, and also tho North Panic road and the Oregon Railroad & Navigation company's line along the Columbia. The Oregon Short Line to Jiutto Is open, but there Is said to bo live feci of snow In places and trouble Is expected ex-pected there at any time. Apparently no lives have boon lost because be-cause of tho tloods. at least there have boon no authentic reports of such deaths. What lives have been lost have boon due entirely to snowslldes In tho Cascades. Stock In Nevada Is said to havo suffered suf-fered considerably, but It Is too early to ascertain to what extent. Tho loss In sheep Is thought to bo heavy, but so far practlcallv no definite information has been received covering tho Hooded section as a whole. , Tho Denver & UIo Grand, the Lnlon Pacific and the Colorado Midland and tho Suit Lake Route continue normal.
