Show A GRIST OF COUNTY BUSINESS transacted by the county court at its regular session the county court met ou tuesday pursuant to adjournment there was a full attendance the petition of W W barnett and J H moore jr asking that the county road in spring lake be changed was referred petition of M P madsen et al asking the court to appoint another justice of the peace and constable for lake view precinct claiming that said precinct required two justices and two constables the precinct being as much as seven miles in length was referred petition of nephi packard et al was presented asking the court to construct a wagon bridge across spring creek on the county road near jacob houtz residence and referred petition of henry mower was presented calling the attention of alie court to the fact that parties in thistle valley were fencing up alie county road to the an boyance of the travelers thereon especially to him as mail carrier from thistle to fairview andaas referred petition of john S boyer and alex robertson Rober tsoa was presented asking the court for an appropriation of for repairing county road running through nd referred petition of J A bevan assessor and collector of thoele tooele county asking for portion of that countes coun tys taxes on certain transitory herds was presented and it appearing that the application was irregular the county clerk was instructed to notify air bevan that the county court and not the collector were the proper parties to make the application petition of G A hicks asking for change in the precinct boundary lines of thistle and for the appointment of precinct officers was referred communication of the county clerk of thoele tooele county in reference to G candies herd was ordered to be answered to the effect that no cattle had been assessed to said Caudie application of county clerk of milliard asking fur portion of taxes on certain transitory herds was disposed of as follows no takes had been collected for 1886 on W F paces herd was ordered to be remitted on account of other herds dr hardys quarantine report was presented and accepted the report of bolm W robertson justice of the peace for spanish fork for 1965 costs in the arson case of brig ham crocheron was allowed he was also allowed 2230 costs in other criminal cases heard by him reports from justices of the peace were heard and allowed as follows M P madsen sheep herds which have been assessed in utah county the taxes of which had been paid in other counties on motion the county col lector was credited with being the county portion of said tax court collect all renta due utah county from the united states for the use of the county courthouse to date for district purposes and to enter into arrangements by lease or otherwise for the renting of said courthouse in the future thomas J patten was appointed justice of alie peace for provo bench precinct vice S D whipple resigned the work of the pauly jail building and manufacturing company on the new jail was and accepted of 2 was appropriated to the pauly company as the fit payment leaving a balance due of to be paid drawing interest at the rate of 8 per cent the sum of 1000 was appropriated to samuel on account of construction st 0 nw jail on motion dusenberry and selectman Holdaway were appointed a committee to ascertain from the assessor and collector the amount due the county from the
