Show SALT LAKE ELECTRIC RAILWAY the telephone company prays for an injunction an interesting litigation has come up in the district court in salt lake the telephone company claim that the overhead cable put up for propelling pro pelline the street cars in streets occupied by the telephone lines will result in injury lo 10 the telephone company in that the strongest electric current of the street car line running with and below the telephone lines will by electric indic lionso disturb the te lepone current as to greatly interfere its action the telephone company thereto e prays for an injunction forbidding the street car company from establishing its line as now designed on south temple street and second west street claiming that the articles of incorporation of the railway company do not authorize the nse of electricity as a motive power the railway company replies that it is authorized by its articles of association and grant to use electricity that their wires are properly insulated BO that no injury is possible to users of the telephone that there will be no inter ference whatever by induction from the street car wire even it were placed at a much less distance than it is at present and in fact that there is no ground whatever for the complaint of the telephone company |
