Shaw asks for $2000 damages for his alleged injuries. Shaw says that Lyon and Holm beat him over tho head aud face with their fists and a hard instrument, broke the bone in the right side of his noso. and bursted an artory. By reason of the blows over tho nose ho still suffers violent vio-lent hemorrhages, ho says, and believes that ho is permanently injured. , Shaw lay in nn uucouscious condition for two or three days nt'tor tho aheged assault, and it was feared for a time that ho was fatally injured. Both Shaw and Holm wore arrested by the sheriff's office, but the ovidonce for criminal prosecution was insufficient, and they wero released a fow hours alt-crward. alt-crward.
