Glazier to the stand fl and ho was followed by H. E. Benedict, p who was reoallcd to give somo further testimony us to the amount of arsenic I contained In copper ore received from the Eureka, N'ov., mines. Other witnesses f during tho day, placed on the stand by K the defendants, wero J. E. Talmage, II. K E. Benedict. W. C. Ehauph, Herman ! fc Harms, J. W. Webster, P T. Batcman, I f W. E. N'Ichocs and II. J. Cannon. Tho testimony of most of these wit- ! 5 nesscs was to the effect that they had 1 If; never had sheep die as the result of cat- j K lng grass upon which the smoko from tho ' smelter had settled, while Mr. Harms said that lie analyzed tho bodies of scv- I eral of the dead sheep from the vicinity of the smeltor and found no traces of ' arsenic.
