Carey, employed In the employment employ-ment department of the Utah Construction Construc-tion company, says that the men who nent a communication to The Tribune teJir of being sent to Halleck, Nev., by the Dlson Employment Agency of this city and then not finding work are not tellins the truth. Mr. Corey says that tho men could find work if they so desired, and the Manoy Brothers Construction company, com-pany, to which a sublease was erlven by the Utah Construction company, will take all the men they can get, but tho tnon sent out there want to so further west and are not looking for work. Mr. Corey saya that each man sent out was told that after arriving at Halleck he would havo to pay. his own transportation transpor-tation to where the work on the Western Pacific railroad was being carried on. |
