Show IRRlGATiOfl CONGRESS HIS UTAH EXHIBIT Governor Cutler Receives Invitation Invi-tation from Albuquerque Board of Control. The board of governors of the sixteenth National Irrigation congress, which meets at Albuquerque, N. M-, September 29 to October 3, inclusive, has extended an invitation in-vitation to GovernorCutlor, that Utah prepare an exhibit and take a prominent part in tho gathering. Incident to the invitation, a tribute is paid to Ulah as being a pioneer In the cause, of Irrigation and it Is urged that the Stale should bo properly represented. While L'lah will be represented at the congress by a delegation, it Is not likely that the Statu will prepare an exhibit. Tiic last Legislature did not make an appropriation ap-propriation for the purposo and the only way that an exhibit can "now be prepared is for the Interested parties to rnisc the neces'sary amount, by private subscription subscrip-tion and it Is not believed that this will bo done. The last Legislature appropriated $1000 for the Sacramento (Cnl.) congress of 1007 and S7000 additional was raised by private subscription. The Ogden choir was sent to Sacramento and the State also had an exhibit there. 1 |
