A representative representa-tive meeting of thc business men was held in tho Weight building last evening to organize a branch of tho Retail Merchants' Mer-chants' Protective association. Mr. Williams, Wil-liams, Mr. Simms and Mr. Carver, representing rep-resenting tho Ogdcn association, were present to" explain the aims and objects, of the association. After having fully discussed thc matter .It was finally decided de-cided to organize, with the following officers: of-ficers: W. D. Sutton, president; V. P. Mortenson. secretary pro torn. Sherman Fargo, FY M. Carpenter and W. D. Sutton Sut-ton woro appointed a committee on constitution con-stitution and by-laws. The next meeting meet-ing will be held in tho near future, whan 1 the regular meeting nights will be decided upon. In Judge Waters's court. K. Wallborg filed a complain accusing- Mrs. John To-derherg To-derherg of tho crime of battery. After hearing tho testimony of tho witnesses through nn Interpreter thc Judge lined tho defendant $10. Thc Ft. A. and M , Maltra Commandry anil ICnig'jts Templar held a social session ses-sion at Castle hall Wednesday evening. A wcll-nrranged programme was given, after which a hmrh was enjoyed. The regular meeting of the Maccabees was held lowt night. After the regular business lias been disposed of refreshments refresh-ments were served. |
