Show COPPER P AMINE HERE. Condition Predicted by John Stanton Scorns to Have Arrived. Tho president of a largo copper producer, pro-ducer, m a Boston paper says: "The public fails to appreciate the remark-ablo remark-ablo strength or tho copper market, as is strongly evidenced by their absence ab-sence from tho market as buyers of copper stocks at their present bargain prices. For four years the late John Stanton predicted a coppor famine in the near future, and we havo reached that situation at tho present time. . Novor in the history of the trade have I known such a demand for copper, and I am a seller of a few million pounds of copper a year and am in a position to know actual conditions. "There is no doubt that tho price of copper will bo maintained around present prices for another year at least, which will mean enormous profits for tho large copper producing mines and will mean increased dividends all along tho lino. Whilo the copper shares have experienced some advance, this is a mere introduction to tho prices which I expect lb sen when we have nn old-time copper market, but this will not come until the public fully appreciates the strength or tho coppe'r position and is a factor in the trading." |
