Show AUXILIARY POWER PLANT. Columbus Con. Installing1 Second Complete Unit to Plant. Work on the Columbus Consolidated Is progressing with rapidity, the management manage-ment having reached 243 feet on the way to the third level. In splto of the bad condition of tho roads lending from tho camp of Alta, tho Columbus Consolidated management Is shipping steadily. Thero Is at the mine fully 800,000 pounds of oro awaiting transportation into tho market. Superintendent A. O Jacobson, who was in this city Monday, stated that the company com-pany at the present time Is Installing the second unit of their power plant. This will give the management the advantage of two pumps, generators and so forth, permitting faster and moro satisfactory work, and Insuring against breakdowns or delays incident to repairs. This complote auxiliary plant will be In commission within a short time President Tony Jacobson of tho company com-pany Is In California, and will have to arrive In Salt Lake via San Francisco owing to the trouble on the San Pedro road. He Is expected the latter part of this week. |
