Show THE TALENT ASSEMBLY The talent contest assembly, which was represented by each grade and our two school clubs, was presented Friday, Nov. 1, to the student body. The student council acted as the judge in selecting se-lecting the winner for first, second sec-ond and third place. Each number was introduced oy ns class president. The seventh grade represented its talent by giving a tap dance, executed by Mattie Jean Adams and Lorraine Tobiason. The talent of the eighth grade was shown, when a duet, "Little Blue Bird Of My Heart", was sung by Beverly Nix and Shirley Parkins. The ninth grade showed what pep it had with a vocal solo, "Down By The Ohio", sung by Marjorie Thompson- The tenth grade gave us a lesson les-son in harmonizing by presenting a Boy's Quartet, Harry Watkins, Blaine Cecola, Richard Jones, and K. Nelson. The eleventh grade introduced the classical part of the program, when a cornet solo was given by Russell Loveless. Johnny Chipian exhibited his talent with a violin solo in representing repre-senting the twelfth grade- The comical part of the cones con-es t was given by the Miner's club-A club-A duet, "Hand Me Down My Walking Cane", was sung and acted out by Paul Parissenti and Robert Krueger- The Pep club displayed its talent tal-ent with a vocal solo, "Trade Winds", sung by Helen George-las- The assembly was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone present.
