Up until 4 o'clock things were about normal, as compared with other days. After 4 o'clock business picked up a little, but not nearly enough to round off a good day's business. Several cuts in prices were noted Saturday. One merchant mer-chant who, had plunged a little and purchased pur-chased nbout a hundred crates of cantaloupes canta-loupes reduced the price In the afternoon, after-noon, selling a. 10-cent melon for 5 cents; that Is, a JLO-cont melon of a few days ago. y Saturday, however, these melons were over-ripe, so the big bargain was not such a big one after all. But few large outside shipments are arriving, the supply coming almost entirely en-tirely . from local sources. Grapes nnd bananas are about the only kind of fruit that arrives In largo quantities. A carload of bananas arrived ar-rived Saturday morning. The demand for grapes exceeds that of any other fruit.
