C, today to make a report to the department de-partment and perfect their plans. Northern Slopes to Be Planted Fir3t. 'The trees to be planted will bo principally prin-cipally r.d pine, although there will be sort..' whlti and some yellow Western pine. They are the most favorable slopes for th- purpos.-. be. a use the snow lasts longer there and the sun's heut Is not too Intense; but it is my opinion that th southern slopes will eventually even-tually be planted also. The work, of course, incurs considerable expense, but ir is believed that lis Importance Justifies the expenditure." |
