OGDEN, Nov. 29 A pleasing nnd patriotic pa-triotic Thanksgiving entertainment was given at the Sacred Heart academy this evening) and many visitors wire present. The feature was a comedietta, which had been prepared by the sisters, and In which the. students of ihe academy were Included In the clasp. The shining lights were Miss Agnes Ccdtman of Idaho Falls, Miss Trupp and Miss Kane, both of Po-catello Po-catello Musical service was exceptional, l :,. some of the irolcei exhibited remarkable remark-able qualities. Father P. N. Cti9hnahan of St Joseph Catholic church delivered a most patriotic patri-otic sermon. One of his strong remarks was that at the present time womenly women were required In Ctah. because of the conditions that prevail In this State. Father Cunhnahrin's address was of a highly patriotic order. He said that Thanksgiving day should not degenerate to a proposition of turkey and football, but should be an elevating Idea He spoke to the children on the gratitude they should feel for the American Institutions which were bringing to them so much. |
