Show HIS TERRITORY EXTENDED Traffic Hannger Schumacher Takes in Nevada Line. Traffic Manager T. M. Schumacher of tho Oregon Short Lino has had his Jurisdiction Juris-diction increased to tnke In the Nevada lines, formerly operated under Southern Paclllc officials. Ever since Traffic Director Di-rector Stubb's return to Chicago a circular circu-lar to thls effect has been expected. Tho circular was received at tho Oregon Short Lino headquarters yesterday afternoon after-noon and reads as follows: "On and after September 1 tho Jurisdiction Jurisdic-tion of Mr. T. M. Schumacher, traffic manager of thc Oregon Short Line Railroad Rail-road company, headquarters Salt Lako City, will be extended over the lines of tho Southern Pacific company, east of and Including Sparks. New, and tho lines of the Nevada Sz California railroad, formerly former-ly the Carson & Colorado railroad. Employees Em-ployees should govern themselves accordingly-" At present Mr. Schumacher Is back East with Mr. Stubbs and will in all probability not return to this city for the bettor part of a fortnight. Tho taking over of this new territory means considerable consid-erable additional work for tho local freight and passenger department. It is expected that upon his return Mr. Schumacher Schu-macher will issue a circular extending tho Jurisdiction of General Passenger Agent D E. Burley to tho territory brought under his Jurisdiction as a result ,of this circular. It is also rumored that ' the taking, over of this territory will result re-sult In some promotions in the traffic department de-partment which will involve District Freight and Passenger Agent D. R. Gray and Assistant General Freight Agent J. A. Reeves. |
