The resignation wns announced by Secretary Sec-retary Wilson at noon, but ho docllncd to state whether tho severance Is duo to tho charges filed recently agalnat Dr. Salmon, of which tho doctor was exonerated. Whllo tho announcement was mado that the resignation was purely voluntary, there Is a well authenticated rumor that President Roosevelt was not satisfied with the condition shown by tho investigation. |
