Show BROTHERS DROWN IN BAY. Three Companions Have Narrow Escape Es-cape From Sailboat Wreck. SAN FRANCISCO. June 11. Through the capsizing of a sailboat, Alfred and Edwin Mohr, brothers, wero drowned in the bay today. Their companions. T. S Wfllllams. S. D. Holman and Arthur Simpson, Simp-son, wero rescued after they had clung to the bottom of tho boat for two hours. The party was sailing on tho bay and when near Angel Island tho boat suddenly cap-slied. cap-slied. throwing tho occupants Into the water. Williams grasped the spar and sull and drifted away. The others clung to tho keel of the boat. Edwin ohr attempted td sw im toward Angel Mand but was seen to disappear In the water some distance from the capsized boat. Exhausted and l numbed from exposure, Alfred Mohr, unable to maintain his hold, slipped off and was lost sight of by his companions. Williams wa: picked up by the steamei J. D. Peters, which Nvent In search of the capsised yacht, and rescued Holman and Simpson, who were still clinging to It. |
