Their Alleged Loss. Tho fight between tho farmers ami the sm Iters seems to be on In earnest, and unless some agreement Is reached within tho week, an Injunction suit will be tiled by the farmers, asking that the smelters be prohibited from running until such time as they are able to control the smoke nuisance nui-sance This injunction suit Is now being prepared by one of the well-known law firms of the city In addition to the live suits which have already been filed In tho United States courts, one of which Is now on trial and four continued to the April term, suits Involving In-volving several thousanu ooiiars aro to be filed Within tho next few days In the Federal Fed-eral court These suits are brought by Reese brothers, who lease and operate the Jordan farm. J B. Clark and J J Lllya, and the American Smelling & Refining company, the T'tah Consolidated Mining company, the United states Smelting & lb lining company and the Bingham Con-oil. Con-oil. lit. d Mining and Milling company are named as defendants King. Button A King and Russell are the lawyers who have pr. par. d the suits. In the ease of Reese brothers the sum of $21. W5 damngea will be asked, on two counts; one on account of the loss f orchards, gi-ass lands and hay crops the Other on account of loss of horses pastured in the enclosure. J. B.
